Go-to views
Wave can be configured to provide shortcuts to predefined data visualizations. These go-to views are unique to each client so your specific instance of Wave may look different from the examples below. Please reach out to your Wave representative if you have questions about configuring go-to views.
Shortcuts can originate at the initiative (or action, activity, or milestone) level and take you to visualizations specific to the card, its child(ren), or its impacts . In stacked charts, you can take a shortcut to more detailed views of a data segment.
Go-to views for initiatives
Initiative card
Click on the go-to view icon to see a list of shortcut options. In the example below, go-to views for this initiative include a Gantt chart for milestones, milestones grouped by status, plan vs actual recurring impacts, and net recurring benefits per quarter. Note that a new tab will open with the shortcut view, but you can click the browser Back button to return to the initiative card.
Workspace views
When in a workspace view (list view, Gantt view, or pivot view), right click on an initiative and choose a shortcut view from the dropdown list. In the example below, go-to views for this initiative include a Gantt chart for milestones, milestones grouped by status, plan vs actual recurring impacts, and net recurring benefits per quarter. Note that a new tab will open with the shortcut view.
Go-to views for impacts
From the Impact tracking tab, either click on the plan vs actual link to view recurring impacts in a stacked chart or right click onto an impact and choose a shortcut view from the dropdown list. In the example below, go-to views include the plan vs actual stacked chart for the specific impact or Net recurring benefits per quarter for the impact. Note that a new tab will open with the shortcut view, but you can click the browser Back button to return to the initiative card.
Go-to views in stacked charts
Right click on any data segment in a stacked chart and you will see options to view your data in a new view. In this example, the user has the option to see Net recurring benefits of a workstream or a List of annualized impacts by initiative for that workstream. Note that a new tab will open with the shortcut view.
